"Mike has been the back bone of a tested process ... for years. Anyone who doubts the impact he can make on your writing is ignoring what day to day rigor brings to talent. Hire him and you will get dedicated attention and that's priceless."
--Maura P. McCarthy, writer
Early in his reporting career, Mike Brennan received a prestigious PULITZER PRIZE nomination for his story detailing a chaotic KKK rally in Jacksonville Florida. He also received numerous awards for newspaper and magazine writing before turning to what he may be best known for: Comedy writing. Both for his own nationwide stand-up performances, and his own morning radio show, as well as for other comedians and nationally syndicated radio shows. In addition, with the dozens of live events, auctions and charity shows he does each year, Mike is an experienced writer and producer for live shows as well.
Mike served as a script analyst and eventually as Director at a renowned film and TV writing school for more than a decade, guiding future entertainment professionals toward their career goals. Having read and advised on thousands of scripts, Mike is an expert on scripted TV comedy and drama and has guided several writers into TV careers.
He's an expert on both full length screenplays and on shorts. For three consecutive years, Mike co-wrote and directed short films that finished in the Top 5 of the annual NYC Midnight Madness 24-hour Film Race, which traditionally draws hundreds of entries.
Mike is also an experienced Technical Writer, having written numerous government and commercial contract proposals for a $50 million armed security corporation; as well as an experienced Grant Writer, having served as the founding secretary of a multi-million dollar 501c3 Foundation.
Whether you need a project written, reviewed, imagined or edited, Mike can help make your creative dream a reality.
